X5 Series
The 2011 BMW X5 Series is a powerful vehicle that dominates the road as well as envelopes its passengers in comfort. A prominent and important feature of the 2011 X5 Series is xDrive All Wheel Drive. It distributes the torque needed to maintain excellent control on all road surfaces. Hill Descent Control helps, too, by allowing for vehicle slowdown without the need to continually apply the brakes. You need features like these if you’re driving a vehicle with up to 400 horsepower like the X5 Series!
The 2011 X5 Series is not all muscle and no finesse, though. The iDrive system is an onboard computer with an LCD screen that allows you to easily manage climate, communication, navigation, and music. Six programmable memory buttons on the iDrive allow instant access to any feature, such as your favorite radio station or a preferred navigation route. Another helpful characteristic of the X5 Series is the right-outside rearview mirror, which automatically tilts downward when you back up in order to give you better visibility of the curb. Many active and passive safety features, such as dual-threshold, dual-stage airbags, adaptive brake lights, and a crash sensor designed to unlock doors and turn on hazard lights ensure that the X5 Series is not only one of the most comfortable cars on the road, but one of the safest, too.
The 2011 BMW X5 Series promises – and delivers – a lot. Why not take one for a test drive at Advantage BMW Houston Texas today?

The 2011 BMW X5 Series 35i is built with an efficient 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission and a 300-hp 6-cylinder engine. It also utilizes Brake Energy Regeneration, which converts kinetic energy into power which the 35i can use. The finishing touches of a power tilting-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, 10-way power-adjustable front seats with memory, and leatherette upholstery together make the 35i a truly fine vehicle.
The X5 Series 35i Premium is, as its name suggests, an upgrade from the 35i. The 35i Premium has Nevada Leather upholstery, Dark Burl Walnut Wood trim, and matte black roof rails. Privacy glass in the rear windows, a power-adjustable panoramic moonroof, and a power-adjustable steering wheel column are small luxuries which make a huge difference. Finally, an iPod and USB adapter with a cable is included to provide 21st-century media connectivity.
The 35i Sport Activity trim of the X5 Series includes Y-spoke wheels with performance tires, an increased top speed limiter on the engine, Shadowline exterior trim, and a dark Anthracite interior headliner. It also has a 3-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, and 10-way power-adjustable front seats with thigh support and memory.
The 4.4L 8-cylinder engine of the 50i produces a mighty 400 horsepower and a commanding 450 pound-feet of torque. The 50i also has a high-fidelity 10-speaker sound system with 2 subwoofers and a 7-channel digital amplifier. These come in addition to the 50i’s Nevada Leather upholstery, power-adjustable steering column, and Dark Burl Walnut Wood trim.
